Not to mention, when a Ghibli character finally breaks down in tears, it’s one of the most artistic, beautiful scenes that’s sure to have you mesmerized. With elements like a woman under a curse being the main character, heartfelt moments when she falls in love with a wizard, and a fun flame friend, it definitely deserves its spot as one of Ghibli’s best movies there. However, Howl’s Moving Castle can’t compare. Ghibli definitely has a reputation for having great films, but the ones that take most of the credit are Totoro and Spirited Away. Howl’s Moving Castle is one of the most magical movies in the world of anime. When the severity of the situation she finds herself in finally sets in after a steamy kiss from Nagisa, she’s gotta let out all of those pent up feelings somehow. After the tragic loss of her sister and the steps she took following that event, if one thing is clear about her, it’s that she’s determined and she’s tough.īut, like everything else, all things must come to an end, and when the blood lust turns off, her emotions turn on in one of the most exciting and shocking turns of events of the entire show. With moral conflicts, tragic losses, and unease about the society she lives in, a lot of us can relate when she sheds a few tears. Violet is a girl who’s tough as nails- fought in the war, lost her arm in battle, and spends the rest of the show trying to rebuild her life after all of the loss and hardships she’s seen in her young life. Over her studies, romance, and just about everything else in her life, you’re bound to find this anime girl in tears for one reason or another- which can be a little reminiscent of when we were young teenagers. Sakura is a ten-year-old girl who’s known for many things, having a bubbly personality, using her magic skills, and, as most children are, being a bit clumsy. Shirahoshi is definitely no exception, a beautiful giant mermaid princess, who offers us a funny scene where she ends up crying because she got yelled at by Luffy.
